Job description
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver/Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving, loading and unloading, and operating manual transmission vehicles. This position will require you to be confident and polite to our customers and respectful of their needs whilst delivering their new beds, mattresses and wardrobes. You will be required to enter their homes and bedrooms and set up their bed, if required. You will be working as a team, lifting heavy beds and mattresses. You will also be required to dispose of their old beds when this service is requested. We are a small family run business who prides ourselves with offering all customers great customer service.
Duties:
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload goods
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and report any problems to management
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documents
- Communicate with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their deliveries
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
