Our client, Free Trade Beers & Minerals Ltd a leading specialist drink Wholesaler, is looking to recruit for the position of Delivery Driver to join their Warehouse team based at Romford, RM5 2BG. This is a full-time (Monday- Saturday), permanent position. Free Trade Beers & Minerals Ltd providing deliveries of kegs, bottled beer and minerals to the license trade in London and surrounding areas of M25.

The Individual must have experience in driving a 3.5 tonne long wheel-based van, and must be organised, confident, and presentable. The candidate must have the ability to manage and understand delivery paperwork/picking notes. The job will mainly entail delivering, however is not limited to solely delivering. The role can vary on a day-to-day basis including working in the warehouse, so the chosen candidate must possess the ability to adapt to different situations. A valid UK driving licence to drive a 7.5 tonne lorry, an added bonus, this will be a multidrop role.

Applicants must be over the age of 25 and have a clean driving record with full UK Driving Licence for minimum of two years. No driving disqualification (maximum points to be 3) within the last three years.

Main Responsibilities :-

· Multidrop deliveries of stock in a timely manner (may have up to 20 drops a day)

· Following picking, checking and loading instructions

· Keeping accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation and ensure all documentation is submitted to management in an orderly and timely fashion

· Unloading and delivering orders to customers checking stock orders accurately

· Properly maintains delivery equipment along with maintaining a clean company vehicle, ensuring it has enough fuel/oil and is ready to drive.

· Handling cash with care

· Following organisational policies, procedures and standards, as well as driving rules and regulations.

· Good communication skills to deal with customers and office by phone to update them of estimated delivery times or any changes.

· Follows pre-planned route efficiently and accurately without deviation from set course.

· Informing management of any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time.
