Job description

Recruit right are in search of a 1 new delivery driver to join to our clients growing team. You will only be required to work alternate Saturdays.

Requirements for candidates are as follows:

• Minimum two years home delivery experience is required (not specifically heavy goods)
• Must have a clean driver's license
• Will be required to look after their delivery vehicle and take pride in its condition.
• Health and safety awareness including manual handling
• Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting tasks
• Respectful and responsible in taking good care of company vehicles, goods and customer property
• Prepared to assemble divan beds and bed frames (training will be provided)
• A positive working attitude
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to be flexible and to use your initiative at times
• Work alternate Saturdays, with a midweek day off on the alternate week.
• Will be required to unload goods in to the warehouse with the rest of the delivery team on certain days

• Loading the delivery vehicle from a staging area
• Delivering to residential locations
• Heavy lifting

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Salary: £10.48-£11.10 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Blackburn, Lancashire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)
• Driving: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
