Job Description:
As a client facing ambassador Drivers are to maintain high standards of behaviour and personal appearance. Remain polite and courteous to all customers at all times and project the company ethos of quality and service. Personal Protective equipment is required to be worn on site and while completing tasks required.
Working hours vary between early morning and late shifts each week on a rotation of Monday – Sunday.
All training will be provided to ensure the delivery of sandwiches, snacks, etc to OAR customers. It is the Drivers responsibility to ensure that goods are delivered meeting customer specifications and all food safety guidelines are maintained throughout the journey.
Delivery rounds will be varied and training on different rounds will be given where required.
· Completion of all food safety and transport documentation as required on every shift.
· Vehicle temperature checks to be carried out in the vehicle prior to each delivery to ensure goods are within required temperature specifications.
· Drivers are responsible for working within their qualified legislation constraints which will be monitored and licence checks completed twice annually.
· Any personal changes including any driving convictions and or licencing / health changes should be advised to the business immediately.
· Drivers to complete vehicle checks prior to any journey and report any vehicle defects found at any point during their use of a company vehicle via the defect forms provided.
· Drivers will be allocated vehicles and these vehicles are to be kept clean both inside the cab, outside of the vehicle and in the goods holding fridge. The vehicles are to be returned in a fit state for the following driver.
· Complete all training as required by the company, including level 2 food safety training. The driver will be needed to complete any additional driver training as necessary as and where company or legislation dictates.
· Carry out any other reasonable tasks that are required as part of the needs of the business
· Return empty basket and pallet equipment on each journey and unload into storage area prior to cleaning vehicle.
· Complete fully all times and details on the Drivers daily control sheet.
· Refuel vehicles prior to return to site, obtaining receipt and returning this to site daily
· Report correct odometer readings on all paperwork
· Report any damage to vehicles via vehicle check paperwork when found prior to departure.
· Report any Road Traffic Incidents to the office as soon as you are safely able to do so during the journey. Complete a vehicle accident report on return to site.
Key Skills:
· Have had a full UK / EU / EEA driving licence for at least 24 months with no more than 6 penalty points
· Are safe and courteous drivers
