Van Driver Position - Immediate Start (Van provided & all costs covered) (WEEKENDS MANDATORY - £35 tax free overnight fee & yearly bonus scheme)
Melody Maison is a vibrant, and fast-growing on-line retailer of French and vintage style furniture and home accessories, and we are looking to take on a new member to join our driving team.
Ideal candidate:
- Clean UK driving licence
- Experience in driving transit / long wheel base sizes vehicles (all vans below 3.5ton)
- Happy with overnight stays
- Smart appearance & good customer service
- Understanding of the highway code
- Working a shift pattern rota, Monday - Sunday (based around 40 hour weeks)
- Able to lift furniture items up to 30kg (second man provided on two man lift items)
We operate from a large warehouse with offices and showroom in Harworth (near Bawtry), Doncaster. Close to the Blyth A1 junction and with the bus route close by.

Salary: £10.80 - £11.20 per hour (£35 tax free overnight payment extra)
Driver Responsibilities include:
- Driving from the yard to each and every delivery.
- Care of the vehicle they are in for that shift, including van checks each morning and reporting any van issues to Logistics or General Manager immediately.
- Keeping the van presentable.
- Carrying an item from the van to the customers property IF it is a 2 man weight/size. Any 1 man item should be carried by the second man as the driver goes and knocks on the door and speaks to the customer.
- Ensuring the load is secure in the van, where they can ask the second man to have a look over to ensure all products are secure.
- Safety of the vehicle during operating hours and ensuring the vehicle is locked when not present, or when staying at a hotel
