Job description
Van Driver vacancies based in Croydon. Low number of deliveries, mainly small items.
Immediate Starts - Induction Tuesday 1st Aug
Magnus Search are looking for new drivers to join the team working for our client based in Croydon.
The Job:
- Working alone, completing customer deliveries of a range of items such as electricals, small flatpack items, kids toys etc.
- Assisting the Warehouse team to load the vehicle at the beginning of each shift
- Completing up to 25 deliveries per shift
- Long Term work
Rota/Shift Pattern:
A Choice of either of the following shift patterns:
- Sun-Thurs 0530-1330 shift
- Tues-Sat 0530-1330 shift
(30 min unpaid break)
*We cannot Guarantee full time hours at this point, will be minimum of 3 shifts per week but ideally aiming for the above rotas, work volume dependant. You'll be averaging between 20-30 hours on most weeks.
What we need from you:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- No more than 6 Penalty Points (No Major Endorsements DR DD IN etc.)
- Any previous convictions will need to be disclosed before interviewing (DBS check will be conducted)
- Comfortable completing physical work, loading the van with cages and delivering items up to 25kg
- Friendly, approachable nature – you'll be the face of the business
- Ideally previous experience driving larger vehicles
- Flexible approach to shifts/rota patterns
