Driver/Warehouse Operative - Leicester

We are now looking for A Driver/Warehouse Operative to safely deliver goods to the building trade whilst representing the company with a professional approach.
This role is a full-time, permanent role, working 8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturday work as required, 8.00am until 12.00pm.
Driver/Warehouse Operative Main Duties:
- Dealing with customers.
- Picking and preparing customer orders for deliveries and uplifts.
- Loading and unloading vehicles as required, ensuring the correct Manual Handling techniques are applied.
- Making deliveries by van to customers as and when required Cleaning and maintaining the Warehouse.
- Communicating and cooperating with supervisors and co-workers.
- Operating and maintaining Warehouse equipment when needed.
- Following quality service standards and complying with procedures, rules and regulations and instructions.
- Assisting with the monitoring of stock levels and liaising with other members of staff to ensure this duty is maintained as required.
- Ensuring all orders are dispatched on time with the corresponding documentation according to the Company procedures.
- Ensuring the warehouse and workshop area is kept clean, tidy and well organised at all times.
- Carrying out any delegated duties and other responsibilities ensuring the warehouse complies with the Health and Safety policy.
- Working in a safe manner in accordance with Health and Safety requirements at all times and ensuring the correct use of personal protective equipment.
Driver/Warehouse Operative Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Previous experience in completing multi-drop deliveries is essential.
- Forklift experience/licence is desirable.
- Full, valid UK/EU driving licence is essential.
- To be physically fit as it is a physical role, you will be required to lift and manoeuvre heavy products on a daily basis.
- Training in Manual Handling and Health & Safety is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Confidently work using your own initiative.
- Ability to be in charge of own workload and meeting tight deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new skills.

Salary: From £23,028.24 per year
