POSITION SUMMARY
Kruger is looking to for a Data Analyst to grow our amazing Supply Management team based in Montreal. The Analyst will be responsible for building analytics and reporting to support the team activities, as well as recommending improvement to the procurement process that will enable us to communicate data-driven insights that allow internal stakeholders to make more informed decisions. The successful candidate must have a keen attention to detail and an appreciation of how important accurate reporting is so our team can be confident into making data-driven decisions.
In this role, you will also be the owner of the Kruger’s Supply Management data, play an active role in the management of our Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) data configuration, as well as be an active member of the team who will launch the Supplier Performance Management program making sure to present insights gained to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
The successful candidate will work closely with members of a cross-functional team within the company as well as counterparts from supplier organisations. He/she can expect ample opportunity to gain exposure across different industries in this role.
The chosen individual will report to the Director, Indirect Goods and Services of the Supply Management team.
- Build analytics and reporting to support Supply Management activities while providing recommendations to improve the procurement process.
- Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain, migrate, and improve data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems or bring them on more modern technologies.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to identify key metrics, develop predictive models, customer segmentation, and other analytical tasks.
- Perform exploratory data analysis and visualisation to get a better appreciation of the data.
- Play an active role in the management of our MRO parts and services data configuration.
- Support the deployment of the Supplier Performance Management program.
- Prepare reports and presentations to insights and findings with the procurement team and other stakeholders.
- Work with other teams across the organization to develop cross-functional reporting and analytics projects.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency by regularly auditing data sources or putting in place mechanism to automate it.
- Collaborate with developers and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications and participate in data governance and master data management initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in procurement analytics and incorporate them into our processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, statistics, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, information science or a related quantitative field [or equivalent work experience] is required.
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 years of data management experience with proven experience in creation of reports, data visualization, statistical analysis and data collection.
- Proven ability to build relationships and buy-in with stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
- Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) is a must (our current reporting structure is based on this) and experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), particularly Fuzzy Matching is an asset.
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management is a plus, especially in dealing with high-volume commodities such as MRO.
- Microsoft Power BI Analyst (PL-300) certification is a plus.
- Experience in advanced analytics and machine learning (an asset).
