Job description
We are currently recruiting for full time Delivery Drivers within our Newhaven depot. Our company is a member of APC Overnight, which is the UK’s largest independent courier network.
The earning potential for this role is between £28,788.50 and £31,388.50 OTE.
This role is Monday to Friday, 51.5 hours a week, normal working times are Monday 8am - 6pm and Tuesday to Friday 7am - 6pm. There is the chance to earn more with overtime on a Saturday with a rota to work 1 in 4 weekends.
If you feel like you can drive safely, serve customers with a smile, keep a cool head under pressure, use your own initiative with minimal supervision, then we are keen to hear from you!
Main responsibilities:
- Multi drop delivery and collections of parcels to both residential and commercial properties
- Loading and unloading a van effectively
- Communication with customers and general public
- Use our handheld scanner device
- Maintain the company vehicle, ensure it is clean, well maintained and reporting any faults
Requirements:
- A Full UK manual Driving Licence, with no more than 6 points, for a minimum of 3 years
- The right to work in the UK and have no unspent convictions
- Your own way of transport to and from work
- The ideal candidate will have previous courier experience, but it is not essential
