Job description
As the Conference Porter, you will assist in the running of the entire meeting and events department, taking responsibility to ensure the very highest level of service are consistently delivered. You will have responsibility for ensuring our conference organisers, have the greatest possible experience.
Key duties and responsibilities....
- Assist with events set up and clean up of variety of meeting, conference, event settings
- Check and maintain meeting rooms are to required standard
- Clear down areas at end of day and set up preparation for next event
- Maintain and manage storage areas ensuring they are neat, tidy and regularly review to ensure they are holding only what is necessary
- Assist with conducting stock takes
- Restocking of goods as required
- Assisting the team during service of dining requirements including lunch & breaks
- Cleaning of glassware, plates and cutlery
- Ensure regular disposal of waste throughout each day
- Ensure meeting rooms are kept to a high standard of cleanliness
- Occasional requirement to meet & greet event customers
