As a Delivery and Collection Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers. You will be responsible for navigating a designated delivery route, making multiple stops to deliver packages, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires excellent driving skills, organisational abilities, and a strong commitment to meeting delivery deadlines.
We are looking for someone to deliver parcels with our partner UPS, start times are around 8 am every day Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle, such as a van or truck, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Plan and optimise delivery routes to ensure the most efficient use of time and resources.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Accurately verify and match delivery documents with packages to ensure correct order fulfillment.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with the dispatch team to receive delivery instructions and updates.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering packages in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
- Obtain recipient signatures and complete necessary paperwork for proof of delivery.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and protocols.
