Overview of role
Location: Gateshead
We are looking for qualified Class 1 and 2 Delivery Drivers who will support our Safety-First agenda to join our expert team of drivers at our Depot in Gateshead.
Class 2 work involves mainly multi-drop deliveries to our customers' stores, working 5 days over 7, starting at 3 am daily. Class 1 work involves long distances trucking, working 4 days over 7, and varied start times between 4 am and 10 am daily.
Key Accountabilities
What we are looking for: -
- You will be a skilled driver with work experience in a similar industry.
- Hold an up-to-date CPC card.
- You will be part of our team, who pride themselves on providing excellent customer service whilst demonstrating safe and courteous driving on the road every day.
- We all take responsibility for our health, safety, and well-being and the safety of others. Reporting to a Transport Front Line Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery and collection of all goods to/from our customers. As well as providing accurate information with a driver debrief.
- In a customer-facing role, you will be a strong ambassador from Allied Bakeries, demonstrating a highly professional service.

We'd prefer that you have relevant industry experience but will consider those who are qualified drivers without relevant experience providing you can demonstrate the aptitude to put safety first and deliver great service to our customers and passion for our Kingsmill, Allisons and Sunblest brands.
