Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum dependent on experience
We are looking for a Service Delivery Coordinator to work within our Mobility Aids Service, to cover the areas of Harlow. The British Red Cross Mobility Aids Service are committed to ensuring that during a period of personal crisis everyone has access to the equipment they need, whoever and wherever they are.
We offer hire of wheelchairs and other mobility items, as well as training on how to properly use them. As such, we give people the ability to continue living independently without the need for outside help, whilst also easing people's transition to living at home again following a hospital stay.
In part of the territory, we have relationships with health commissioners to provide equipment that allows people to maintain their independence whilst living with a health condition.
- Line managing a team of Mobility Aids staff and volunteers who support the service.
- Leading on induction, training, supervision and support.
- Being responsible for coordinating the day to day operations within the locations (“spokes”) that they manage.
Being responsible for maintaining volunteer records, rosters and delivery schedules to ensure that service users receive high levels of customer service.
To be a successful Mobility Aids Service Delivery Coordinator, you'll need,
- To have line management / supervisory experience. You are comfortable supporting others to help them get a job done.
- To be a confident communicator in various scenarios (face to face, telephone, video call etc).
- To be cool, calm, and collected - you can prioritise tasks and manage your workload under pressure, as well as planning and organising others' workloads.
- To travel within the area (full license for over 2 years, with access to own vehicle are essential).
- To be computer confident - you have the ability to work with an online stock management system and Microsoft Office. You can produce reports based on information stored on these stock management systems.
- To be a team player - you're great at working within a group but comfortable on your own too.

The closing date for the role is 23.59 hours on 12th July 2023 with interviews expected shortly afterwards.
