Job description
The Delivery Coordinator for Acquisitions role in BBC Childrens is part of the content delivery process working with content that is already made being acquired/purchased from all over the world to add to the BBC offering. This role works closely with the Compliance Managers who ensure this content is editorial suitable and meets the technical standards of the BBC, and the Planning team who schedule the publication of content across the BBC Children’s Channels and iPlayer. This role comprises a large amount of highly transactional administration of data & content requiring first class attention to detail, whilst understanding and prioritising according to the technical and business needs for our processes.
Main Responsibilities- Work with distributors and production companies to ensure programmes, assets and paperwork are delivered on time and to meet contractual requirements.
- Act as point of contact for technical information and acceptable file formats.
- To co-ordinate the delivery of master programme files to post production facilities.
- Work with internal contacts to ensure content is delivered and approvals in place to meet publication and financial deadlines.
- Tracking acquired content from contracting to publication, including delivery to external post facility and acceptance by the BBC.
- Keeping accurate records of acquired content delivery and ensuring colleagues are aware of changes and risks. Provide confirmation when all contractual requirements have been met.
- Attend planning and delivery meetings for acquired programmes.
- To help resolve technical problems during the delivery process, raising technical and delivery issues to senior colleagues where needed.
- To check that all deliverables conform to our technical quality and format requirement guidelines and standards.
- To be responsible for recording programme information accurately and to deadline in various systems.
- To support your team leader with any appropriate additional tasks as they arise.
- To provide ad hoc cover for Delivery Coordinators for Independent Commissions and Assets as required.

We're looking for people who have...
- First class IT skills and experience of Microsoft Teams.
- Experience in an administrative role, prioritising work and meeting changing deadlines.
- Experience of accurately and effectively dealing with large volumes of information and a high attention to detail.
- Evidence of excellent and confident communication and relationship building skills, written and verbal.
- An understanding of the financial, delivery and knock-on planning impacts of television scheduling decisions and the impact of changes to transmission details

- Experience of Asset delivery systems such as Media Shuttle
- Experience of Cloud Based systems such as SmartSheets
- Experience of Broadcast Management systems such as Whats On
- Knowledge and passion for BBC Children’s programmes, schedules and output. A demonstrable knowledge of the channels and their brand identity.
- Experience of a Post-Production or Delivery workflow
