Introduction
As a Delivery Consultant in IBM Technology Expert Labs, you will work hands-on with clients who leverage our cutting-edge software-defined network services to help them achieve their business goals. You’ll assist enterprise and telecom customers orchestrate, automate, monitor, and manage their critical networks, whether in the cloud, virtual, or on-prem. Using your deep technical and networking skills, you will be part of the Software Defined Networking Delivery team tasked with helping our clients implement, migrate, upgrade and manage their environments.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Solution Design
  • As a delivery consultant you will work closely with stakeholders to design, deliver, and optimize networking solutions leveraging IBM Software Defined Networking technology that align to your clients’ goals
  • You will apply your technical expertise to ensure world class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills - such as problem solving, and issue- or hypothesis-based methodologies
  • All the while being focused on bringing customer value that connects with their strategic objectives.
  • Solution Build
  • Understanding clients’ main challenges, and becoming a trusted technical expert for their migration, deployment, and adoption of IBM technologies
  • You will navigate across venues to resolve issues, propose mitigation strategies using your technical expertise and use a consultative style to quickly build credibility as a trusted advisor
  • All while creating and executing plans including install and provision assets, testing, migration to production and then the resulting day two operations capabilities.
  • Solution Implementation
  • Tailor & configure software to meet client requirements.
  • Develop & customize applications
  • Grow business value through ongoing collaboration and deep expertise.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Strong Networking experience, with accreditation, as operator, engineer or tools integrator
  • Experience in implementing and managing Cloud Computing and orchestration tools, e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Software Defined Networking experience, e.g. SD-WAN, Cisco ACI
  • Knowledge of managing 5G core networks
  • Knowledge of networking technologies, including NG-RAN/O-RAN
  • Prior experience delivering Commercial off-the-shelf solutions
  • Strong network management and OSS Integration experience
  • Telecom carrier or large enterprise customers experience
  • Advanced knowledge of API paradigms
  • Extensive consulting experience in a network cloud infrastructure environment
  • Extensive experience administering and integrating network management systems
  • Experience with full software development lifecycle (from analysis through development, test, delivery, in-service, disposal)
  • Extensive Linux and shell experience
  • Technical familiarity with databases, programming, API’s and scripting
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical details to both experts and novices

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with network security solutions is a bonus
