About the role
Here at AXA UK, our commitment and investment to support business growth continues and we've an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Assurance and Risk Consultant to manage the delivery assurance capability and to oversee the Portfolio Management Office teams' risk and control responsibilities. You'll be accountable for the ongoing relationships with the 2nd and 3rd line functions and the enhancement and development of control frameworks and standards across the teams.

What you'll be doing :
- Establish and develop the delivery assurance function in line with the relevant tooling models to include creating a network of peers to provide assurance on comparable models as required
- Define response requirements from the programmes following the review of assurance activity and monitor these to completion
- Operate, maintain, and improve the relevant control frameworks to ensure that the delivery of the function is undertaken with limited risk
- Enhance metrics and key risk indicators (KRI's) in line with the maturing risk environment and provide insight into emerging risks and challenges to delivery, whilst assessing and reporting on the KRIs
- Deliver thematic assessments across the change delivery environment to identify improvement opportunities and alignment to best practise
- Manage the relationship with the 2nd and 3rd line functions building strong ties and clarity of requirements
- Provide risk oversight for change activities to automate and simplify the collation, assessment, and articulation of portfolio risks and be a champion for the mitigation and resolution of identified risks and issues
- Consider the enhancement and utility of change tooling solutions to simplify and automate delivery

What we’re looking for:
- Experience of risk management in a financial services or project delivery environment
- Awareness or attainment of professional project or programme management qualifications
- You may have 5 years + of financial Services experience and a broad understanding of the insurance industry, including a clear understanding of the regulatory and control environments
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- A key influencer and negotiator with the ability to manage supplier relationships
- Advanced planning and organising skills
