Job description
We are seeking a friendly, flexible and enthusiastic Pharmacy Counter Assistant with a real passion for people to work in our pharmacy. The right candidate will have the ability to build strong relationships with customers. If you are not already a qualified counter assistant, you will need to undergo in house training which will be paid for by the company. You will also assist in our COVID-19 Vaccination Centre when required.
We are looking for 25-30 hours across the business opening hours which are Mon-Fri 8.00am-7.30pm, and Sat 8.00am-5pm. You must be flexible, currently you must be available on Saturdays.
A Pharmacy Counter Assistant's core duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Acting as first point of contact for customers.
- Handling customer enquiries.
- Participating in the Healthy Living promotion and all essential and advanced services.
- Handling monetary transactions.
- Dealing with collections, deliveries and walk in prescriptions.
- Delivering healthcare advice and assist with sales and driving sales.
- Organize product displays, window displays and arrange all ordering and stock for the shop floor.
We are a NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Centre and there may be the potential to train as a vaccinator to administer vaccines.
In addition, we provide blood testing services so there is the potential to train in phlebotomy.
You will need to be motivated, confident, efficient, patient, trustworthy and have excellent communication and listening skills.
