Defect/Inspection Engineer Plymouth, England
Job description
Work with IQC/OQC Engineer and Defect Engineer on defect inspection and manual classification/ review
Main Responsibilities:
- Establish pass/fail criteria for critical defect inspection (inline , incoming, and outgoing)
- Establish and maintain defect library/catalog
- Update relevant document and specifications as required and fan out to production/manufacturing
- Responsible for deep dive/troubleshooting on any new/unknown defect
- Establish best practice on Defect inspection procedure and sampling
- Fan out best practice to operator and technician
- Work with Defect Engineer for Defect classification / review (both optical and SEM)
Key Skills/Experience required:
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in semiconductor/ LED manufacturing
- Able to work with microscopes, etc. in clean room environment
- Familiar with Failure Analysis method (FIB, SEM, EDX)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PPT)
- Detail oriented and team player
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering with min 1 year of relevant experience
