ASSISTANT DEAN - DAY, EVENING, AND GLOBAL MBA PROGRAMS

The purpose of this position is to plan, direct, manage, and oversee marketing, recruiting, and admissions, student services, and program operations of the Foster Day, Evening, and Global MBA Programs including full responsibility for annual program budgets over $10 million. Each program is of strategic importance to the Foster School. The Day MBA Program is the most well-known within the Foster MBA portfolio as well as the program whose ranking serves as the numeraire for the Foster School as a whole. The Evening MBA Program is both highly-ranked nationally and, historically, the single largest revenue program within the Foster School. The Global MBA Program brings positive relationship value with leading partner schools globally.
The Assistant Dean is responsible for setting a positive tone for the staff and student community consistent with the Foster purpose statement, developing and outlining program goals, designing strategies that accelerate the development of students as future leaders, overseeing execution of co-currical development experiences along with faculty and staff colleagues, informing and executing rankings strategy, and managing program operations on a day-to-day basis. The Assistant Dean is responsible for driving leadership and quality assurance for all services developed for current and future students, advising current and prospective students, handling internal and external communications and marketing, overseeing and managing program-appropriate events, supervising staff, developing and managing the budget, and working closely with the Associate Dean for Master’s Programs, teaching faculty, advisory committees, marketing communications colleagues, and other Foster graduate program directors to ensure large, well-qualified, and collectively diverse Day and Evening MBA cohorts, delivery of a transformative development experience, and strong professional development outcomes for graduates. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Master’s Programs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree in Business, Education, Public Administration, or a related field plus a minimum 8-years leadership experience in a complex academic setting, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Required to be available some evenings and Saturdays when class meetings, program events, and recruiting events are held.
