ARU Police Education – Academic Administrator - London
About the role:
ARU are delighted to be working with The Metropolitan Police and the Seven Police Forces in the Eastern Region – Essex, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norfolk and Suffolk – to train the Police Officers of the future. We are offering the new Police Education Qualification Framework (PEQF) Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and the Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) developed by the College of Policing.
As result we have new job opportunities in the coming months, and we are excited to be offering these to you. This is a chance to be involved in shaping the Police Officers of the future and get involved in an industry leading program.
The PEQF aims to further professionalise policing as a career, by both recognising and raising educational standards, and ARU has been selected by the Seven Force Strategic Collaboration Programme to provide the educational training for two new entry routes into the profession.
New Police Constables will enrol on a three-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), which combines a degree programme with on-the-job training, while a two-year Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) will be available for new recruits who already have a degree.
In this round, we are looking for an Academic Administrator to support the delivery of the Police Education courses at our campus in East London Docklands. The hours will be subject to discussion, but the roles require availability between either 8am – 4pm, or 10am – 6pm.
The role will include working closely with students, ARU staff, and external partners such as Babcock and Metropolitan Police staff. We are looking for candidates with previous administration experience, and candidates with experience of co-ordinating complex administrative tasks and/or processes. You'll have the ability to work in a pressurised environment and manage own workload. Please note that significant administrative experience and evidence of CPD is essential if you do not have a degree.
