We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Day Service Support Worker to join our team here at iBC Healthcare based in the Birmingham B27 area.

Shifts:

Full time: 36 hours per week - Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays 9am to 4pm

Pay: £10.90 per hour

Our ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience supporting service users with Learning Disabilities and complex behaviours
  • Proactive person who can use your own decision making
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills
  • Good Attitude and work ethic
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Empathetic to people and kind
  • Good communication skills
  • A desire to genuinely help other people and make a difference
  • Full UK driving licence is essential for this role

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting young adults and adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviour within a Day Service environment
  • Providing high standards of care and support for service users, in line with care and support plans and the care & support policies and procedures
  • Identifying needs and preferences for each individual and providing personal care
  • Encourage good community relationships by promoting a variety of activities
  • Accurately report, record and maintain records as required and working to care plans
  • Be a kind, empathetic and people person who works well in a team.
