The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the database supporting Unison PRISM COTS solution.

Location:

Job Summary- The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for:

• Design, implement, and maintain the Unison PRISM database infrastructure, including database schema, tables, views, stored procedures, and indexes.
• Perform database capacity planning, monitoring, and optimization to ensure optimal performance and scalability of the Unison PRISM system.
• Monitor database backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery plans, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with the application development team to optimize database queries and improve overall system performance.
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including user access controls, role-based permissions, and data encryption.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies in a timely manner.
• Perform regular database maintenance activities, such as applying patches and upgrades, database reorganizations, and index rebuilding.
• Conduct database performance tuning, identifying and resolving performance issues to enhance system responsiveness.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, backup and recovery procedures, and database administration best practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new features in Unison PRISM and database technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance database performance and efficiency.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with preferred expertise in administering Unison PRISM databases.
• Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, SQL, and database administration principles.
• Experience with Oracle database administration, including database design, installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Unison PRISM database schema, tables, views, stored procedures, and data structures preferred.
• Proficiency in database monitoring and performance tuning tools, such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Developer, and AWR reports.
• Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices, including user
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve database issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
• Ability to act as a team player.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field with 3 years of experience or;
• Master’s degree in computer Science, information systems, or a related field and 1 year of experience

Other Requirement:

• Ability to obtain a public trust.
