As a Data Transformation Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering data solutions through the Single Customer View, utilising modern cloud data warehousing, engineering techniques, and business intelligence tools.

Using your data knowledge, coding skills and analytics experience to enable multiple functional teams to generate insight and drive value. Also, you will use your knowledge and data experience to help gather requirements and build data marts for other teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assisting in requirement gathering from functional teams and assessing opportunities
  • Working with colleagues in my team and the SCV project to design and build data marts for use by the functional teams
  • Working with functional teams to train and migrate them to use the SCV platform and toolset
  • Collaborating with a range of technical and business stakeholders to SCV data mart design fulfils requirements
  • Working with Data Governance to ensure standards, policies and controls are built into SCV
  • Working with Data Engineering to ensure data loaded is accurate, timely, and stable
  • Ensuring my work is documented
  • Help optimise processes, for example, automation of existing manual processes
  • Following our Governance and Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Continually looking for innovative ways to make improvements based on the latest trends and research
  • Networking to stay connected with business trends and changes
  • Effectively managing stakeholders and external providers
  • Keeping my thinking current through internal and external events and sharing best practice with my colleagues.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to make sure my team and I support Saga’s strategic initiatives.

  • Good communication and technical presentation skills.

  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Able to work in a flexible and agile environment
  • Knowledge of Insurance, Financial Services, Travel and Cruise sectors
  • Understanding of Marketing
  • Agile working in large complex cloud data projects
  • Programming and query languages (particularly SQL)
  • Version control tools like GitHub
  • Developing ETL/ELT pipelines in tools like Talend
  • Cloud data storage and management e.g. Azure
  • Operational Data Warehousing in tools like Snowflake
  • Data visualisation tools like Tableau.
