About the role:

As a Data Tester at dig-x, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data sets. You'll be responsible for meticulously testing and validating data to identify any inconsistencies, errors, or anomalies. You'll collaborate closely with the development team to implement fixes and maintain our high-quality standards.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve conducting comprehensive testing of data sets, analysing and identifying discrepancies and errors, and creating detailed documentation of test results, issues, and resolutions. With your attention to detail and technical expertise, you'll contribute to the success of our mission to help businesses achieve their digital transformation goals through innovative IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dive into the depths of data sets with a magnifying glass, conducting thorough and rigorous testing to ensure they meet the highest quality standards
  • Leave no stone unturned as you analyse and identify any discrepancies or errors lurking within the data
  • Collaborate with a team of talented developers and other stakeholders, working together to identify and swiftly resolve any issues that arise
  • Document every step of your testing journey with meticulous attention to detail, so that everyone is on the same page and we can continually improve our processes
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the industry, staying up-to-date on the latest standards and best practices related to data testing and validation
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with your teammates and clients alike, ensuring that everyone understands the importance of maintaining top-notch data quality standards

Requirements:

  • Possess a strong understanding of software development lifecycles and the critical role of rigorous testing frameworks in ensuring software quality.
  • Demonstrated experience in executing tests across all functional and non-functional test phases, whether executed by feature teams or external teams.
  • Expertise in test environment provisioning, configuration management, estimation, impact analysis, and test data management.
  • Proven expertise in analysis, design, implementation, and execution of test cases, test procedures, and test suites, while staying up-to-date on the latest testing methodologies and best practices.

Desirables:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools: Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and Python is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
