Our client’s Data Consultancy practice has 150 Consultants within their Defence and Government team and they looking someone to lead a growing team of 20 Data Consultants!
You will be primarily responsible for the continued development of this high performing team along with the creation of relevant methodologies, frameworks and go-to market propositions.
The role will require you to go to offices in London, Manchester, Bristol, Cheltenham, Birmingham or Hampshire 2 days per week, the rest of the work can be done remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Be a people person and willing to take an already high performing team to its next level through supportive leadership.
- Work with your staff on their career development, building team culture and pastoral care.
- Be a champion and evangelist for Data services both internally in the company and with clients.
- Foster the growth of the Data team - in terms of headcount, revenue and profit - and continue fostering its great team culture.
- Leading the definition of new frameworks and methodologies.
- Sponsor the creation of new innovative services and offerings.
- Establish cross pollination pathways with other teams both in the practice and organisation.
- Report your progress into internal stakeholders and clients.
Skills & experience
- Experience in managing dynamic teams of 30 - 40+ staff, including career development and resourcing.
- Experience in embracing highly collaborative and promoting Collaboration, Diversity and Inclusion.
- A focus around culture and wellbeing, as well as supporting the team in their ambitions.
- Experience in Data and/or Intelligence within a Consultancy remit - primarily across Data and AI Strategy.
- An understanding of Data Analysis, Data Analytics and/or Data Visualisation would be a plus.
- Experience in Data Governance and defining technical and operational data processes and data driven operating models.
- Pre-sales experience and prior experience in establishing go-to-market propositions / offerings would be a bonus.
