The Role:
With Corporate Finance's deployment of DealCloud across its national business - encompassing 300 professionals working across 200+ engagements a year, monitoring 400+ opportunities, over 1,000 client interactions each month, dealing with 30,000+ companies - the business is generating an unprecedented volume of data. Out of which powerful insights, analytics and more informed operational decisions can be made. However this data must be managed and maintained in order for it not to be diluted by poorer quality data.
The purpose of this role will be to help oversee this maintenance as part of the Data Analytics / Strategy / Technology team, reporting into Nicola Burns who leads, the Data Ops Manager for Corporate Finance. Responsibilities of the role will include managing the evolving DealCloud platform, inputting into changing workflows and processes across the business, driving best practice and acting as a data quality champion.
You will be part of an integral team to the Corporate Finance business across our sectors and regions and increasingly internationally as DealCloud is rolled out across other Global KPMG member firms.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct a system wide data validation exercise, researching client companies and contacts and updating their records accordingly.
- Monitor new records created by users to ensure we maintain high quality information, and where records are incomplete / inaccurate identify user training needs.
- Run quarterly deduplication processes to identify and resolve duplicate records through merging.
- Identify and resolve orphaned records, eg. contacts without a company, interactions without external attendees.
- Support system users with ad-hoc help desk queries, guiding them in the use of the system and instilling best practice.
- Perform ad-hoc fuzzy match and bulk data uploads for system users.
- Provide support and perform user testing during system upgrades, improvements and integrations as required.
- Take ownership of the spend approval dashboard, processing spend requests on a daily basis through the wider firms compliance system ensuring approval is recorded in DealCloud in a timely fashion.

Required Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work effectively with teams and colleagues.
- High level of attention to detail and strong keyboard skills/accuracy.
- High level of IT literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-performance environment.
- Ability to process and understand datasets.
- Confidence to inspire system usage by being a DealCloud Champion.
- Experience of working with large datasets is preferred, but not essential.
- Intermediate level MS Excel skills are preferred, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of GDPR and data protection preferred, but not essential.
