Launched by Currys in 2015, we at iD Mobile, are the fastest growing mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in UK history. Our unique selling point is our contract flexibility compared to bigger mobile networks, which has enabled record retention and continued growth.
We currently have an opportunity available to join the data science team at iD Mobile and help us leverage our rich data sources to deliver innovative solutions for our customers and business. You will work on a variety of data science projects across the customer lifecycle, from acquisition and retention to loyalty and engagement. You will apply your skills in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modelling to generate insights, recommendations, and predictions that drive value and growth.
The purpose of this role is to use data science to solve complex business problems and create a competitive advantage for the company. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders from different functions and levels to understand their needs and objectives, designing and implementing data science solutions that meet or exceed their expectations, and communicating the results and implications in a clear and actionable way. You will also contribute to the development and improvement of the data science infrastructure, tools, and best practices within the team and the wider organisation.
Specific areas of application of data science skills will include some of the following:
- Customer analytics including customer segmentation, churn prediction and lifetime value estimation
- Marketing analytics including campaign optimization and personalisation
- Product analytics including usage analysis, feature evaluation, recommendation systems
- Business analytics including forecasting, pricing, risk analysis

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Proficient in Python, SQL, and other programming languages and tools for data analysis and machine learning, such as Spark, Databricks, Azure, etc.
- Experienced in data engineering, data modelling, data testing, and data documentation
- Skilled in applying various data science techniques and methods, such as customer analytics, marketing analytics, product analytics, business analytics
- Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as decision science, engineering, mathematics, physics, operational research, econometrics, statistics, or equivalent
