Data Scientist - Up to £45,000 - Hybrid (Cardiff Based)

The Opportunity
Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team is working with an essential not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Data Scientist.

This role is ideal if you have a postgraduate degree in a scientific or mathematical discipline and experience working in a technical role. Some current projects include anomaly detection models, machine learning for risk and deep learning vision AI.

What the Data Scientist will be doing
You will be responsible for working collaboratively within a team to identify the best solution to a specific business problem, and then working to implement that solution effectively with support from the team. In this way you will be delivering end-2-end projects.

• Uses statistics, machine learning and other automated processes to deliver solutions
• Use Agile approaches to develop and deploy analytical solutions
• Propose and support the use of new tools and processes
• Implement the analytics governance framework

What you will bring to the team
You will have a postgraduate degree and have relevant working experience in a medium- to - large organisation. You'll be an excellent team worker who is eager to get stuck in.

• Strong programming skills in statistical languages like R and Python
• Experience working with SQL
• Experience working in a medium-large organisation on a technical role
• Keen to collaborate
• Knowledge of development and deployment of analytical tools
