Our client is a fast-growing AdTech company specialising in leveraging data-driven insights to optimise advertising campaigns blended with 1st and other 3rd party data. In their third year of operation with significant investment behind them, they are expanding their data science team to further enhance their data-driven capabilities.
They are seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join the team and play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge algorithms to optimise data and drive performance.
The Role
You will be responsible for utilising your extensive knowledge of big data and expertise in working with big data platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and different algorithm methodologies including unsupervised learning and NLP to analyze, interpret, and derive insights from vast amounts of data. You will report into and work alongside the CTO, joining a small team of data engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced algorithms for machine learning to interpret and optimise data and improve advertising performance metrics.
- Analyse large, complex datasets using statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualisation tools to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product team to design and build scalable data pipelines and data processing frameworks that enable efficient data analysis and modeling.
- Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to understand their requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver actionable insights.
- Conduct rigorous experimentation and A/B testing to evaluate the effectiveness of new algorithms and optimisation strategies.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science, big data technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve our data-driven capabilities.
- Communicate complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through data visualisations, reports, and presentations.
You will possess:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) working as a Data Scientist, preferably in the adtech or digital advertising industry.
- Strong proficiency in working with big data platforms such as GCP, including tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python and/or R for data analysis and machine learning.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experiment design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
The role offers hybrid working, with regular travel monthly to the London office required. There is a generous package on offer with this role including the option to hold shares in the company, with a base salary of up to £95k pa.
