The Opportunity
We are investing in data and analytics to build a range of progressive and innovative tools and products for our global clients. The opportunity is to report directly to, and work closely with, the Head of Actuarial and Analytics to:
- To help build best in class data and then pioneer the internal use of machine learning through-out the business.
- Gain exposure to a wide range of client facing analytics projects.
- Be part of a fast moving and innovative team in developing and rapidly deploying new tools and products.
You
- Highly motivated to deliver best in class products.
- Good undergraduate degree in a mathematical or technical discipline, such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Keen to learn and gain exposure to all aspects of the (re)insurance market.
- Comfortable working with both traditional and new technologies.
- Knowledge or experience of (re)insurance would be useful but not required.
- Experiences with communicating with the shareholders
Technical skills:
- Good knowledge of python at least 2 years experience (pandas, data wrangling and data manipulation skills)
- Good knowledge of cloud technology (Azure Would be preferred) but knowledge of Any other would be acceptable.
- Good knowledge on How to use API to communicate and extract information from external website.
- Good knowledge of SQL for maintenance of databases.
- Ability to use data visualisation (PowerBi).
- Building and maintenance of WebApps.
Desirable (this skills are desirable but not needed, those skills may be useful for future project) some of this will be good and can make the candidate stands out:
- Basic knowledge of Big Data technology (Hadoop, Pyspark)
- Good knowledge of Excel
