Stantec are looking for a Data Scientist to join our highly successful Digital Division. You’ll be working alongside an award-winning team of Analysts and Data Engineering experts driving digital change across Stantec and our clients. We're customer and user focused, pushing new ways of working across digital, whilst incorporating technology and data into all our services and solutions.
Your input into the Digital solutions being developed will be fundamental to Stantec’s ongoing growth and success. As part of our global team, you will help to develop newer, better services and products for our clients.
You will also be driving insights from data that enables proactive management of assets and more informed investment planning. In turn benefitting communities and the environment by utilising digital technology to help our clients to meet the challenges faces within the Water industry.

About you
You will have experience of developing optimisation and predictive analytics solutions. As well as experience of using a variety of data mining/data cleansing/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.
You will have an understanding how to implement technical solutions into client processes to effect real change.
You will be able to utilise programming languages to automate tasks and processes and conduct data analysis. (e.g. Python, Spark, T-SQL, SQL, Ruby).
You will be able to design solutions around client requirements and have an understanding of test principles.
