Saige is an entrepreneurial prop-tech company within the realm of real-estate. We are seeking your skills and determination to join our team as a Data Science Intern with an immediate start date. Within this role you will have the ability to assist our data analysts in receiving, analyzing, and interpreting data sets, as well as apply your expertise to this ever-growing company. Note: To qualify for this position, you must have a degree/certificate/diploma from a Canadian university or online course providers like Coursera after 2020 or currently be a student. (PhD, Masters in computer science/ data science/ related field preferred)
Your key responsibilities:
- Design Prediction machine learning models
- Statistical analysis of data and gaining meaningful insights from data
- Carry out analyses of both structured and unstructured data sets.
- Build machine-learning algorithms.
- Enhance data-collection process and ensure data accuracy.
- Produce insights from data sets to identify trends or patterns.
- Coordinate with a team to implement new models and monitor results.
Qualifications:
- Working toward a degree in data science, computer science, or related field (PhD or Master’s preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of exploratory data analysis, statistical techniques and visualization methods.
- Prompt engineering using ChatGPT
- Previous experience with software development in Python and SQL
- Experience with both machine learning models, and deep learning models.
- Expertise in training models, tuning hyperparameters and interpreting the results.
- Familiar with evaluation metrics for both classification and regression models.
- Must be self-motivated to manage a workload and be able to meet critical project deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- You must reside in BC
