The Role: Data Scientist
Location: Poland (flexible remote work)
Employment Type: Permanent/B2B
PIB Group is a leading independent insurance intermediary group with over 40 offices across the UK, and a growing presence in Europe. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join our team based in Poland.
Requirements:
Experience developing machine learning models at scale from inception to business impact- Understanding of modern machine learning techniques and mathematical underpinning, such as classifications, recommendation systems, optimization, NLP, Deep Learning, etc.
- Experience and ability to discuss solutions with business stakeholders not familiar with ML techniques
- Conducting R&D to incorporate best-in-class modelling methodologies and disseminating learnings within the team
- Data Exploration (Python, R, SQL)
- Good experience with Python, Java and/or Scala is preferred (2+ years) with solid project experience
- Excellent communication skills (English reading/writing skills are required)
Desired:
Experience in Insurance or other financial services industry- Master's or PhD Degree in a relevant subject
- Experience building APIs
- Experience with spaCy and/or other NLP tools
