The role
We are in search of a seasoned data scientist and algorithm engineer who possesses the requisite expertise to assume a pivotal role in the conception, execution, and validation of algorithms, numerical models, and machine learning approaches for our systems and products.
In tandem with your technical proficiencies, you will excel in articulating intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. This position offers you the chance to leverage your technical acumen within a collaborative team environment, bringing innovative concepts to fruition.
Your endeavors will be bolstered by a supportive team of adept subject matter specialists, and notably, you will serve as the inaugural data scientist for the company. This empowers you to advocate for and employ the most fitting simulation tools and resources to address the escalating demand for machine learning within our software landscape. This role promises the satisfaction of contributing to cutting-edge ideas and making them tangible.
Requirements:
BSC/BEng/MSc/Meng in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer science or related discipline.
- 3+ years post-graduate experience of developing, implementing, and testing algorithms.
- Experience in one or more of the following is essential
- Digital Signal Processing (DSP) methods
- Numerical simulations
- Machine Learning
- Image processing
- Software development skills in either MATLAB or Python
- Experience of working on data from imaging systems would be advantageous, but is not essential
