Geomatrix Earth Science Ltd was founded in 1995 and since then the company has grown into the main source for geophysical instrumentation in the UK, offering one of the largest short term hire pools of near surface instrumentation in Europe. We are retained as the principal sales representatives and service centre by many of the leading geophysical instrument and software manufacturers for products such as Magnetometers, Seismographs, Gamma Ray Spectrometers,
Resistivity, Electromagnetic sounding and Gravity meters.
We employ a range of technical staff who have experience and knowledge in the geophysical and engineering sectors and are looking for an individual to join our team on a part time bases to fulfil the role of stores person.

The Role
Geomatrix Earth Science Ltd are currently seeking an individual to join our company on a part time basis in the role of stores personnel. The position is part time, 16 hours a week. The hours can be split over multiple days to and fall within school hours.
The positions duties and responsibilities include;
- Receiving and processing packages
- Ticking-off rental equipment to ensure all items have been return
- Notifying colleagues which goods/equipment have been received
- Cleaning equipment (which includes washing muddy cables)
- Inspecting equipment for physical damage
- Entering repair jobs into our repairs management system
- Correct storage of equipment
- Checking cables
The successful applicant must be comfortable navigating Microsoft Windows operating software and happy to learn how to use new software packages they are not familiar with.
The stores person must have good personal communication skills to ensure the correct department is notified when equipment/consignments are received, in order that they can be processed efficiently for our customers.
This post is open to UK nationals. As part of our requirements the applicant must be fluent in the English language. We operate in a non-smoking environment.
