Data Scientist
Due to company growth, and the investment we’re making towards being a more data driven business, we’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our internal IT team on a 6-month contract.

- Paying a competitive day rate on a contractor basis
- Working with a growing business that is investing in Data and a future towards working with more cloud-based systems
- Fully remote working available, but some travel to the head office may be required on an Adhoc basis
As a Data Scientist, your role will include:
- Fully understanding key business context and commercial challenges to identify value areas for analytical focus
- Identifies, sources and consolidates relevant insightful data to provide a holistic view of the factors impacting on identified value areas
- Analyses the impact of these factors including development of a data-driven history of their evolution and the size of any resulting impact
- Test business hypotheses against available data and impact assessment to produce recommendations on mitigating activity to produce commercial benefits
- Where possible, create predictive models designed to help operational proactivity in mitigating impact, utilising and/or introducing leading-edge technologies to enhance mydentist’s analytical capacity
What skills do I need?
- Experience of working with a range of on premises and cloud data sources, including SQL Server, SSAS, Azure and Python
- Experience in working with a complex data architecture in an evolving / transforming environment, including the ability to join disparate data sources/formats to gain reliable intelligence
- Experience of deep analysis tools, including AI and machine learning models to provide assumptive and predictive insights
