We are looking for a Data Scientist with Python Experience.
Role : Python Data Scientist
Location : 100% Remote
Job Description
▪ Develop, model, deploy and support data / ML pipelines and applications in Python.
▪ Identify, collect and wrangle structured and unstructured data from databases, files and third-party APIs (SQL, linux, pandas,
google analytics).
▪ Write clean, tested, documented code to solve business problems, for collective review and ownership.
▪ Build and tune machine-learning models and pipelines, with emphasis on timeseries forecasting (eg darts, Prophet, exponential
smoothing, ARIMA).
▪ Learn business domain, support efforts to balance staffing and different kinds of patient demand.
▪ Help identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and leverage ML in new ways at virtuwell.
▪ Configure and deploy Docker containers.
▪ Administer server apps (Flask, Streamlit, MlFlow).
▪ Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. (Panel, Plotly, Streamlit).
▪ Document/present research. (Confluence, Jupyter notebooks)
▪ Collaborate with other data scientists/ml engineers, developers, DevOps, business stakeholders, etc.
▪ Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired qualifications:
▪ Strong Python skills.
▪ Experience with popular tools and libraries in the Python data science and machine learning ecosystem: eg pandas, Jupyter,
scikit-learn, darts, Matplotlib, Plotly, XGBoost, Optuna, dask.
▪ Experience training and tuning machine learning models.
▪ Experience and keen interest in timeseries forecasting.
▪ Knowledge of statistical techniques/concepts and experience applying them (regression, properties of distributions, statistical
tests, etc).
▪ 2+ years of experience in end-to-end application/product development: design, implementation, testing, building, deploying,
documenting, supporting.
▪ Confidence in ability to learn independently.
▪ Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
▪ Team player. Comfortable with collective decision making; learning from and mentoring others; participation in code/experiment
reviews; and collective ownership of code.
▪ Genuine interest in developing knowledge and solutions that will contribute to affordable, high-quality healthcare.
▪ Data visualization experience
