Job description
Role – Data Scientist
Location – London – Putney Bridge (2 days office and 3 days home working)
Salary – £55,500 - £65,000 plus bonus

Are you a Data Scientist who craves the opportunity to work in a greenfield environment with the richest data in the Higher Education Sector? Would you like the opportunity to set up your own data science stack from scratch? If so this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The Challenge
The higher education industry is now thriving on IDP Connects real time student trend data and you will have to be able to learn about the industry at a pace whilst also working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver critical insights within the HE space. You will also have the opportunity to introduce Machine Learning and set the strategy alongside the IQ Leaders.
What you’ll need
You will have to have strong Python or R skills coupled with previous experience of SQL and Tableau (or an equivalent data visualisation tool). As this is the first Data Science hire we have made, the ability to manage your own workload is going to be essential. Finally if you have used Alteryx that would be desirable but not essential as we can teach you.
The process
If you are shortlisted you will have a quick intro call with me followed up by a video interview with the hiring manager for the role. If successful there will be a final stage in which you are given a task to complete and then interviewed by a panel of 2.
