Em Digital Manager

As an Em Digital Manager, your purpose will be to generate and drive digital solutions to deliver step changes in cost reduction, cycle time, supply performance and human efficiency. You will lead the collaboration with others within GSK in the application of data science technologies such as ML and AI.

In this role you will
- Apply a broad array of analytic skills including machine learning, deep learning statistics text mining/NLP, and modelling to extract insights into structured and unstructured sources and complimentary real-world and digital information streams.
- Work on and lead several team-based projects guiding in analytical and computational approaches within the data science and AI centre of excellence.
- Work on the latest tools and technologies to improve cost, inventory, supply and human efficiency within external manufacturing.
- Demonstrate a passion and aim to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
- Identify key data sets and drive the creation of ingestion pipelines. Then develop custom data models and algorithms to drive improvements using these data sets.
- Use predictive modelling to increase and optimise end-to-end performance across external manufacturing.

Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- A good honours degree in Statistics / Mathematics / Engineering / Computer Science together with a postgraduate degree (preferably)
- Strong experience in a related industry and/or teaching at undergraduate / postgraduate level (for senior positions)
- extensive understanding of a machine learning, statistics, artificial intelligence methods, continuous use of BI and ML/AI systems
- Technical and theoretical capability in data analytics, statistics, information management and related disciplines including information technology & security.
- Knowledge of GPS, Statistical Process Control, Multivariate Analysis, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.
- Experience and fluent in the use of data analytics software and programming eg Python & R to generate features and models
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Strong acumen with data visualisation fundamentals
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex data analytics / statistical / mathematical and process concepts.
- Ability to identify issues requiring data analytics study and applications.
- Experience in visualising/presenting data for partners.
