What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic data scientist to join our company on a full-term basis. In particular, we are looking for a data scientist that can help us deliver client projects and build new products for our clients.
The newly appointed data scientist will:
- Support our existing client work by modelling organisational data and delivering outputs back to clients
- Communicate efficiently with subject-matter experts and clients to refine the data science outputs provided
- Get involved with building data science products for our clients that are specifically designed to improve safety performance and safety culture in the workplace
Skills required
Essential
- Fluency in English (and second languages are greatly valued)
- Proficient in building machine learning and statistical models
- Experience in building data pipelines
- Experience with Cloud Technology development (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc)
- Comfortable manipulating and analysing data in Python
- 2-3 years of experience working as a data scientist (or equivalent)
Desirable
- Experience with SQL and data structures
- Experience with R
- Experience using APIs
- Experience working in data science teams
- Understand the demands of working in a Start-up on lean, agile projects – must be self-driven and able to work remotely, without assistance and with little day to day supervision

Right to work in the UK
It is essential that, if you are not a UK citizen, you can demonstrate that you have indefinite leave to remain in the UK. Location:
The role is based in the UK but will be remotely located; our preference is for the candidate to be located reasonably close to the M4 corridor between London and Cardiff to facilitate travel to team meetings. However, this is not an essential requirement. Our Cardiff office is located in the Sbarc|Spark Building on Maindy Road.
