ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Data Scientist you’ll support the delivery of data enablement to make Bentley the benchmark for customer and company performance metrics, through insight driven by building the best data and analytical capabilities. You’ll support key elements of the data strategy, including transforming raw data into engaging dashboards that provide actionable insights, delivering meaningful and measurable value.
This newly created role is in the central Data Team, and will work within multi-skilled data squads across the business.
The IT Transformation is an essential lever for enabling the Bentley Beyond100 vision, by becoming a software and data driven mobility company. Our IT function is restructuring into a streamlined capability driven organisation, building value streams such as data strategy, and will deliver greater partnership with our functions and impactful technological value realisation.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivering data insights via visualisation and storytelling
- Enabling functions by delivering pilot data projects and ensuring successful handover to run
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of data governance and data catalogues across Bentley data domains
- Ensuring appropriate data documentation is in place and maintained
- Playing an active role in the Bentley data community by providing information and sharing knowledge
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a Data Scientist, Data Engineering or similar role with a demonstrable ability to craft and present simple solutions to complex problems for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with a modern visualisation tool. Tableau experience an advantage
- Experience using the modern data stack including cloud warehouse and data manipulation/transformation tools
- Experience of translating customer requirements to technical delivery
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
- A high personal motivation to drive change and innovate within an agile environment
