As an apprentice with DAC Beachcroft you will be on your way to a career in data analysis and have a real alternative to university. You will earn a salary (20-22K per annum) and have no university fees to pay.
As a Level 6 Data Science Apprentice within Intelligence & Data Analytics, you would provide support for the data analytics projects and to manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer's business and the wider market
Our Claims Solutions Data Analytics team provides analytics products to both internal and external clients in a wide range of areas, including performance and operational analysis, market trends, predictive modelling and fraud detection. This is an area of rapid development, with the team leading the way in making the Claims Solutions Group a truly intelligence led organisation.

Main Responsibilities- Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer's business and the wider market, including predictive and outcomes modelling.
- Create ad-hoc data pipelines. Provide feedback on business data architecture.
- Draw valid inferences from analysis and develop solution focused recommendations, presenting them successfully to management and clients.
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations to inform internal and external clients.
- Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations.
- Coordinate with various technical/functional teams to implement models and monitor results.
- Preferred relevant Level 3 qualifications, e.g. mathematical computing, data analytics, maths or statistics.
- An understanding of relational databases and experience of using Microsoft Excel
- Preferred experience of SQL, Python, R or similar scripting languages
- Good problem solving skills with the ability to work to deadlines
- High standard of written and oral communication skills.
