SALARY: £45,202 to £50,728 per annum
HOURS: 36 hours per week
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent
We’re looking for a professional Data Protection DPIA Specialist to work within a team of specialist Data Protection practitioners who provide advice and guidance to the business on day-to-day privacy and data protection compliance matters.
Your main responsibility will be for management and coordination of Data Protection related projects and helping Clarion meet its Accountability requirements. In addition, in partnership with the Data Protection Team Leaders, and DPIA Specialist to act as a subject matter expert on Data Protection and provide support to Clarion’s Data Protection Officer (DPO).
We’ll look to you to act as a Data Protection Lead on, investigating and reviewing complex complaints and breaches and preparing responses, carrying out/participating in audits and service reviews and creating and maintaining records to help Clarion meet its Accountability requirements, working with members of staff in the business and within a team of specialist Data Protection practitioners who provide advice and guidance to the business on day to day privacy and data protection compliance matters. Given the number of on-going projects across the business you will be involved in providing expert data protection advice to the business along with other experts in the team.
Other responsibilities include the following:
- Assist with risk based compliance programme, mapping out priority areas and allocating responsibilities
- Manage the ROPA.
- Assist the DPIA Specialist with the completion of complex DPIAs.
- Ensure mitigating actions on any breaches have been implemented by the business.
- Lead the team to ensure the service is responsive, high quality, with clear & consistent advice provided to colleagues internally and stakeholders externally.
We’re seeking professionals who thrive on providing leadership and specialist knowledge to a team of high performing, highly motivated individuals, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences at all levels of an organisation.
You’ll have demonstrable experience of managing complex data protection related projects and working on data protection compliance programmes with an excellent knowledge of Data Protection Law, practical application of this and a current and relevant professional data protection qualification.
