DATA ENTRY AND SUPPORT ANALYST

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

- To identify new and creative ways of improving any processes within the team.
MAIN ASSIGNMENTS
- Data Retrieval - Collect and aggregate data from metered sites on a daily basis. This task is performed 365 days of the year (including weekend and Bank Holidays)
- Data Processing – Registration and maintenance of database of Market Participants sites, meters, BM Units, Trading Units and Authorised Signatories in line with strict SLAs and Industry KPIs. Either as first point of entry and/or double-checking colleague’s work for accuracy, sometimes under pressure of very tight deadlines
- Undertake parallel run testing and undertake monthly Market Domain Data Processing
- Pro-actively monitor the team mailboxes to ensure all forms are processed in line with our KPIs and SLAs.
- Running and releasing of Settlement reports to Market Participants in line with strict SLAs and Industry KPIs.
- Management of Metering faults and data Estimations. Collection and production of Supplier Volumes files and profiles
- Maintenance and distribution of Market Domain Data database in accordance with strict SLAs. Support Industry Change, participating in and managing OaT and Parallel Runs to ensure successful deployment of changes into Service
- Continual Service Improvement, in collaboration with CGI and Elexon

- Data processed in an accurate and timely way
- External SLA’s set by client achieved with no/minimal financial penalties imposed. Able to ensure that client/providers act in accordance with agreed plans and challenge them if they don’t.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Extremely accurate data entry skills – able to work quickly and accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines, sometimes outside of normal working hours.
- Able to successfully analyse large quantities of data and spot errors/identify patterns
- Strong, clear communication skills – is confident with liaising with Customers and third parties.
- Customer focus, able to identify and respond to customer’s needs
- Can manage own time effectively to meet daily timescales
- Able to cope with repetitive tasks
- Able to understand and communicate concepts clearly and succinctly
- Good problem solving skills, able to grasp problems quickly and draw informed conclusions
- Able to work in a complex environment with conflicting demands and make clear and consistent decisions
- Anticipates issues and is pro-active in dealing with them
- Flexible, willing, and able to cope with fast paced change with the ability to work well under pressure. Proven accuracy to limit sizable SLA failure pay-outs associated with the work
- Knowledge of process management and improvement activities
- High level of expertise with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
- Knowledge of industry data flows and how parties communicate information between them would be advantageous
- Familiarity with Technical and Operational Acceptance Testing methodologies would be advantageous
