Job summary
We have opportunities for Data Operations Analysts within our Operational Delivery Profession where you will be responsible for a wide range of duties. You will be responsible for processing data claims and the issuing of certificates. You’ll undertake checks on data submissions, ensuring accuracy of information and highlighting any missing information that should be investigated further. You’ll ensure that checks are all completed to a high quality and to agreed timelines. These opportunities available are a great starting point for those who are looking for their first step into a career within the Energy sector, Ofgem and of course other areas within the Civil Service. You’ll be working alongside an experienced and supportive line manager and full training will be provided. The Operations Delivery profession pride themselves on being a friendly and collaborative profession who will be there to help and support you through your Ofgem journey. Within Ofgem this role is known as Operations Analyst.
To be successful in this role you will have good data and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. Having good organisational skills will enable you to prioritise your workload effectively and you’ll also need to show that you can successfully establish positive working relationships with different colleagues across Ofgem and our external partners.

Job description
Working in a multi-disciplinary team in a specific work area in the context of operating in a Professions and Flexible Resourcing model. You will self manage a case workload, analyse data sets, engage with external participants and make recommendations to manager and senior managers whilst supported by multidisciplinary team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse data submissions and other quantitative/qualitative information from participants.
- Review and make recommendations based on datasets and subsequent payments information across the Ofgem Delivery and Schemes portfolio of environmental schemes.
- The use MS packages to plan, analyse and deliver your workload in an efficient manner.
- Engagement with external stakeholders including technical consultants via telephone and email

Essential Criteria
- Experience working with datasets, analysing and utilising this data to make recommendations
- Completing tasks that could be regarded as repetitive with a high level of accuracy and always ensuring good quality outputs
