An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Colposcopy Audit and Data Coordinator (18.75 hrs/week) within the Gynaecology department of the Family Health Division.
You will assist the team by using your reporting and data quality skills to maintain the unit's databases and developing a knowledge of the software packages used in the service and assisting with the collation of statistical data for audit and research purposes.
You will have good communications and interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic team member, with excellent organisational and planning skills.

Assisting the Clinical Nurse Specialists’ and Consultants within the Colposcopy team with the maintenance of the unit’s databases’ and developing a working knowledge of all the software packages used within the service. Preparation of the database prior to each Colposcopy clinic to ensure real time data collection. Assisting with the collation of statistical data for audit and research purposes, maintaining a high standard of data quality within the Colposcopy service. Providing standard reports as required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Maintain, input and update Department of Health databases (e.g. KC65) specific for the service. Ensure timely submission of quarterly reports or as required.
Maintain, input and update all local Colposcopy databases.
Prepare the Colposcopy database prior to clinics to allow real time data entry during clinical consultation and treatments.
Generate database reports for the Colposcopy team as part of the multi-disciplinary team meetings.
Develop and maintain all research databases’ within the Colposcopy service enabling surveillance of patients with specified medical conditions.
Collating and entering data to assist in research, audit and clinical governance projects, both local and nationally led.
Producing reports from the database as requested by the clinical team to monitor capacity, treatment pathways and policy compliance.
Monitoring data quality and compliance with quality assurance indicators

Essential criteria
- GCSE English Language & Maths Grade C (or equivalent)
- OCR III (including Excel and Access) or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- GNVQ ICT (or equivalent)
Experience

- Knowledge of using spreadsheets/database/software packages, e.g. Microsoft Access & Excel
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS/public sector experience
- Two years’ experience of using spreadsheets/database packages (eg Microsoft Access and Excel)

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.
Consent:
- Transfer of information: If I have previous NHS service - I consent to the transfer of my Electronic Staff Record (ESR) data between this and other NHS Trusts. I also consent to the Occupational Health Department confidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
- Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£41.90 for enhanced and £21.90 for standard). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay). Should I decide to withdraw from my job offer, I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of the DBS check undertaken by cheque or other agreed method.
