Data Management Assistant Analyst

When you work as a Data Managment Assistant Analyst at KCAS, you get to further our mission by working with many software-oriented tools that are used by bioanalytical scientists in collection, analysis, reporting, organizing, and mining / deciphering large amounts of scientific data and knowledge. The tools may be vendor supplied software, custom made programs and macros, or efficiency applications software such as Microsoft Office. Data Management Assistant Analyst assists in the management of all assigned data management projects within assigned business units, such as, but not limited to, formatting and uploading manifests into Watson for specific clients. Data Management Assistant Analyst assists in the creation of the weekly sample inventory files, QC files, and other data reports.

In this role, we’ll rely on you to:

  • Assists in the creation of the weekly sample inventory files, QC files, and other data reports
  • Assists with formatting and uploading manifest into Watson for specific clients
  • Become a proficient user of selected specialized laboratory software/data bases/LIMS needed and required for data-to-knowledge process and reporting
  • Utilizes specialized routines (macros) and knows how to troubleshoot existing modules used for efficiently processing data
  • Learn training modules
  • Tracks utility of existing processes and suggests improvements
  • Attends internal and external expert training workshops as needed

To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 1 year in data management or analysis
  • Associate degree
  • Hands-on computer experience
  • Demonstrated ability to implement customized solutions
  • Relevant course work or certificates
  • Ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data
  • Able to work on multiple projects
  • Able to communicate with scientists
  • Able to perform tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Able to maintain a progress chart of multiple projects
  • Self-motivated and deadline driven
  • Have genuine interest in learning new laboratory software and processes
  • Perform all aspects of job in a way that supports company brand and supports company mission, vision and values.
