Job Description Summary
The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is responsible for creating business and customer insights, driving customer engagement capabilities, and finding novel ways to extract value from GE HealthCare data ecosystem. The CDO drives the data strategy, technology, governance, and delivery aimed at building data management capabilities and improving the quality and value of critical business data. The CDO is responsible for overseeing a team of over 150 to develop and execute a modern set of solutions to further enable business outcomes. This executive should bring a “modern” data approach to an already progressive environment and ecosystem. GE HealthCare is well established in the deployment of cloud and microservices, so it will be especially important forthis technical leader to bring a commercial approach and orientation to further enable the performance of this critical part of the strategy. Job Description
Create and deploy a commercially focused data strategy measured against tangible business outcomes. Leadership of data and analytics resources in various locations to include on/offshore. Provide the strategic mindset and capability to collaborate extensively with stakeholders to identify areas for the organization to unlock the power of data and insights. Operate in a collaborative and highly effective cross-functional manner to align on greatest priorities and drive excellence and innovation across data and platforms. Create a data environment that utilizes the right infrastructure, cloud capabilities and architecture to easily integrate with internal and external data sources. Establish the vision and build a modern technology platform on the existing foundation that democratizes data access and insights development and harnesses the power of AI/ML across various aspects of the healthcare life cycle. Institute a data governance program that improves the quality and quantity of core data sets necessary for generating key business insights and influence lines of business and process change as required. Utilize and coordinate engineering efforts on behalf of GE HealthCare from a progressive, modern environment to build industry leading product capabilities. Coordinate a complex portfolio of core platforms to enable global business outcomes in a reliable, engineering forward and scalable manner. Define, develop, and execute the roadmap to support engineering requirements in support of a highly dynamic business environment for a global company.
