We are currently looking for talented individuals to join the Redress and Claims Management Companies (CMC) Policy team as a Senior Data Management Associate. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be involved in improving how the FCA regulates the financial industry and playing a leading part in making us a data led regulator.
The Redress and Prudential department sits within the Cross Cutting Policy and Strategy Division. The Redress and CMC policy team plays a critical role by owning and advising across the FCA on the policy requirements which ensure that firms put things right for financial services consumers when things go wrong, whether that’s making a complaint or claiming compensation in the event a firm goes under owing redress liabilities. The data provides crucial insights to the FCA on the issues that are impacting consumers, enabling us to act assertively to address them where necessary.
What you will be doing
Improving coordination and sharing of data between the regulatory family to advance shared objectives and ensuring that redress and complaints data is available to inform FCA decision-making
Managing key relationships with FOS and FSCS
Working on redress policy in relation to the redress data needs of new jurisdictions, such as Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and Crypto
Working with the FCA strategy team in relation to the wider reporting of our activities under the public commitment to improve the redress framework - using data to support metrics on key outcomes
Ensure the FCA meets its MoU commitments in areas such as information sharing, ensuring our approaches are consistent and complementary wherever possible and that matters of mutual interest are discussed at appropriate levels of seniority
Supporting colleagues with access to data we receive from firms, FOS and FSCS and that this information is collected and disseminated efficiently
Championing effective data governance of the redress data domain
