About the Job
Under supervision, the Global Master Data Coordinator is responsible for supporting the establishment of several key roles essential in maintaining high quality data sets which are the basis of all reporting and decision making.
What Does It Take to be a Global Master Data Coordinator at Dawn Foods?
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Data Management.
- Ability to analyze, summarize and resolve issues.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills needed to provide effective customer service.
- Ability to set and manage priorities to ensure that project deadlines are met.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred but not required.
- SAP/business systems experience.
What You'll Do as a Global Master Data Coordinator
- Responsible for global data integrity and accuracy in their respective functional areas (i.e Customer Master, Vendor Master, Material Material, Bill of Materials, etc).
- Maintaining the Vendor Master domain.
- Promote consistency for all elements of data capture, recording, cleansing, and refining.
- Independently leads the day-to day activities of the Vendor Master Data requests and ongoing maintenance.
- Manage the Vendor Master Inbox and process vendor master additions and changes in an accurate and timely manner for our North America region.
- Must adhere to strict approval processes to prevent fraud.
- Apply critical thinking skills to effectively solve problems using knowledge, facts, and data.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and demonstrate flexibility in handling changing priorities.
- Maintain accurate tax information to support year-end processing of 1099's and other compliance requests.
- Support annual external audits, as well as internal audits accordingly.
- Assist manager with constant improvement in the quality and accuracy of the master data to ensure uninterrupted business continuity.
- Responsible for due diligence of all Vendor change requests, including banking input and banking change verification.
- Provide support and training to new and existing users who experience issues with vendor requests.
- Stringent adherence to best practices to ensure the integrity of all data change requests.
- Assist team members with special projects that relate to vendor data.
- Ensure documentation and electronic information is accurate and conforms to departmental requirements.
- Performs duties to capture, record, cleanse, and refine data supplied by internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicates with counterparts in Data Management group to promote company-wide continuous improvement of data management systems and strategies.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of SAP, an understanding of the important relationship between high quality data, system configuration, system performance and decision making.
